Star Wars Days at Legoland...Day 6
It was Star Wars Days at Legoland the weekend that we were there. The kids (Jason included) were super excited...they watch the Star Wars movies at least once a week and the boys have every Star Wars toy that has ever been made. We arrived at the park before they opened and we were some of the first people in line.

The storm troopers were really friendly and the kids had a great time goofing off with them and having their pictures taken with the "real" Star Wars guys.

star noun, 1) a point of light that can be seen in the sky at night 2) a five-pointed shape, verb, 3) to stand out in a positive way, to be outstanding

The Man Rules
Jason and his firefighting buddies found this...
The Man Rules
The Man Rules
These are our rules
Please note...these are all numbered '1 ' ON PURPOSE!
1. Men are NOT mind readers.
1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.
1. Crying is blackmail.
1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it!
1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.
1. Come to us with a problem ONLY if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 Days.
1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.
1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.
1. You can either ask us to do something OR tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.
1. Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.
1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.
1. ALL men see in only 16 Colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not "A" color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have NO idea what mauve is.
1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.
1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing", we will act like nothing is wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.
1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.
1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine...Really!!.
1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss topics such as baseball or golf.
1. You have enough clothes.
1. You have too many shoes.
1. I am in shape. Round IS a shape!
1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight...but did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.
rule noun, a law, a guide for conduct or procedure

Fire Prevention Week!!
On Wednesday we went over to Orem Fire Station 3 for their annual fire prevention week event. The kids look forward to this every year. There is popcorn, cotton candy, CPR dummies to practice on, extrication demos, safety info, pencils, stickers, fire helmets, candy, tours of the fire station, turnouts to try on, live propane fire demos, fire hoses to spray, and the fire truck and ambulance are open for the kids to play in. It is pretty dang fun!!

Little bug!!
The Meltdown!!!
The day had gone so well. Then out of nowhere...none of us are exactly sure what set him off...Joshie just couldn't take it anymore.

Phase 2...I stood up because the ground really wasn't that comfortable nor was it as effective as I had hoped and I continued to scream!

Phase 3...Mom was not responding so I ran away and continued to scream...that part got moms attention and she sent Brian to retrieve me!

Phase 4...I took my shoes off to express my growing frustration!! The people who watched me do this did so with looks of absolute shock and horror on their faces! You would think they had never seen a tantrum.

Phase 5...I was captured and strapped into the stroller!! Lots of people are looking at us and mom is mumbling something that I am pretty sure she says I am not allowed to say!!

Phase 6...In a last ditch effort I used whatever resources I could find to express my frustrations...mom got hit with both of these sippy cups. Again, I (along with everyone within 50 feet) heard mom say words that I get time out for saying.

The night pretty much ended there. We headed back to the hotel and let Josh get some much needed sleep. We all were actually pretty surprised that we made it 5 days without any real problems.

California Adventure...Day 5
Day 5 started out great. The sky was overcast and the weather was going to be quite a bit cooler than it had been at the beginning of the week. We decided to spend the day at California Adventure. The kids were all talking about The Tower of Terror and Jason and I were pretty excited to hit some of the "big people" rides.

Goofy was almost knocked over by these four crazy fans!! Jason wanted to join in...Goofy is his favorite character!!

The day was going really great until....
